Angelo has been practicing judo
for 8 years.In that time he has won 465 fights and lost 147.He is a four time Michigan state champion.
Besides
winning the state championship four times he has two seconds and three third place finishes.
In the 2001
USJA junior national championship he finished in 5th place.
He and his kata partner Alex
took second place in nage-no-kata
at the USJA junior nationals.On October 2nd 2001 Angelo was promoted to purple belt with Alex.On Sunday March 3rd 2002 Angelo
and Alex took 1st place in the Michigan State Kata championship, Angelo took home the bronze medal in the state judo championship.
At the Junior Olympics in Indianapolis Indiana this past July Angelo and Alex won the Nage-No-Kata title.It is Angelo's
first national championship. At the 2003 & 2004 michigan state championships they again took the first place medals.
On July 5th 2003 Angelo teamed with
Andrew for the first time in Nage-No-Kata
at the USJA junior nationals in Louisville
Kentucky. They teamed up for a strong
silver medal. Later that month Angelo
and Alex won the USJF junior nationals.
In July 2004 Angelo and Alex won the USJA
junior nationals in Chicago.
